Won 1st place at the Coding Night challenge hosted by valantic and the ACM Student Chapter HSG
Together with two teammates from the ACM Student Chapter HSG, I took part in the Coding Night organized by valantic and rockt!. Out of the two available cases, we chose the one presented by Festland and Stark AG, a leading supplier to the wood-processing industry. The challenge was to prototype a tool that extracts product information directly from manufacturer and supplier websites and validates it against Stark’s standardized product database, which has been built up manually over many years. We built a fully functional Chrome extension that parses the current website and runs the content through three different AI models in parallel (Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini). A consensus algorithm then reconciles their outputs into a single validated result, reducing the risk of hallucinations and single-model errors. The jury evaluated submissions on problem understanding, technical implementation, result quality, creativity, and presentation, and our team came out on top.
