# Bocconi Family Business Case Study

In April 2026, I was part of the University of St.Gallen (HSG) team that won the 5th Family Business Game, hosted by the AIDAF-EY Chair at Bocconi University in collaboration with EY and the Family Business Association. Competing against leading universities and business schools from across Europe, our six-person team developed a strategic solution to a real-world family business case centered on succession and co-leadership at the Handtmann Group, a fourth-generation German industrial firm with €1.4 billion in revenue and 4,700 employees across six business divisions. It was the first time HSG secured first place at this competition.
